Known from Yangzhou Inspection Bureau by our reporter, Yangzhou have imported log more than 1,989,400.00 cbm, increasing by 55.19% compared with that of last year.  Unit price of imported-log has breaked history record price, reaching to USD217.20 per cbm, going up by 18.30%.  We can predict that the log importing price will go up even more, and sufferred from this, furniture price will go up someway this year.

Seeing the imported quantity of log in Yangzhou Harbor of last two years, it imported 1,317,000.00 cbm in 2005, imported 1,814,000.00 cbm in 2006, 1,989,400.00 cbm last year, soaring by 51% in the last three years, we know that  areas around Yangzhou Harbor reply on importing quality log much more year after year. Furthermore, quality log is getting less and less all over the world,  and almost all of the traditional timber producing coutries have banned or limited log export and boosted export tax rate of log.
